TSHRM chapter meetings are held monthly, typically at 11:30 AM on the fourth Thursday of the month and feature a presentation on a key HR topic. The chapter sponsors workshops and seminars during the year covering HR issues, with topics ranging from strategic HR to HR metrics, and from Legal Updates to hot benefits topics, to enhance professional development.

The TSHRM website, www.tshrm.com features upcoming chapter events, job bank listings, legislative updates, other local HR-related meetings and an on-line membership directory. The chapter's newsletter, The HR Times, provides timely information about the chapter's activities and current HR issues. HR Times is also available on this website to members only.

TSHRM's Certification Study Group assists HR professionals preparing for the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certifications offered by the SHRM-affiliated Human Resource Certification Institute. The group meets for 10 weeks twice per year coinciding with the HRCI test dates.

TSHRM's College Relations Director works to promote relationships between HR professionals and students interested in a career in Human Resources. Membership in TSHRM allows for valuable networking and knowledge building in HR.

TSHRM offers members the opportunity to share ideas and network with other HR professionals at chapter meetings, through group email and access to member expertise through our Membership Directory. While members are encouraged to take full advantage of opportunities to network with professional colleagues, it is understood that direct business solicitation is unacceptable.
