How do the monthly chapter meetings work?

The first 30 – 40 minutes are reserved for registration, networking, and eating! Then we have announcements, a brief introduction and then the main presentation for 60 minutes. Lastly, we wrap-up the meeting briefly for 5 – 10 minutes.

Thank you kindly for your interest! The first step in this process is to complete a Presenter Application and then email our VP of Programs. They will walk you through the next steps, as everything must be approved by our Board of Directors.

I’m new to the area and not sure if I want to join. Can I come to a meeting and check it out?

Welcome to the area and of course you can! Simply arrive the day off and let the registration table know your situation. You can attend up to 2 meetings before joining. Please also be sure to email so they can walk you around the room and introduce you!

 I’m interested in volunteering but don’t know where to start or how much time I’ll have available.

Do I need to be a SHRM member before I can be a TSHRM member?

No you do not, however we ask that if you are already a SHRM member – you designate TSHRM as your local chapter.
